Installation of sound and lighting equipment at Ikeda restaurant (Odesa)

Ikeda restaurant is a new premium gastronomic and entertainment venue that opened in Odesa on July 12, 2025, at 60/1 French Boulevard. The name “Ikeda” comes from the Japanese language: the hieroglyph 池 (ike) means “pond,” and 田 (ta) means “field.” This symbolism combines natural harmony with elegance — a perfect reflection of the restaurant’s concept, which opens new horizons of gastronomic experience. It is a place at the intersection of cultures and philosophies: just as water nourishes rice fields, Ikeda’s cuisine unites Japanese traditions with Italian sophistication, local products with global trends, and classic recipes with modern techniques.

A special place in the venue’s concept is given to its musical component: high-quality background music plays here, and live performances by show business stars are regularly held, turning evenings into real events. Therefore, many years of practical experience were used to implement this project with the aim of developing and installing a comprehensive sound and lighting system that fully corresponds to Ikeda’s status.

Sound solution for the main stage

✔️ The main stage is equipped with dBTechnologies DVX D8 systems paired with SUB 618, as well as  AC26N sound management processors. This setup provides powerful yet balanced sound for concerts and live performances.
✔️ Zonal sound reinforcement is implemented using dBTechnologies OPERA 10 combined with SUB 615 subwoofers, ensuring even coverage of the entire restaurant area, including terraces. Special acoustically transparent protective covers against weather conditions are used on the terraces.
✔️ A rack-mounted Behringer XR18 digital mixing console is used for mix control, allowing flexible sound management even in complex scenarios.

Background sound and installation solutions

To create high-quality background sound, acoustic systems from several of our brands were used:

✔️ AMC Baltic: iPlay 6, Viva 5, Viva 4 (white), PCR2T (white), MCR 6T
✔️ ddBTechnologies: MINIBOX K 162, MINIBOX K 300
✔️ 4all Audio: WALL 530 IP55

Since a significant part of the restaurant’s area is located outdoors and in close proximity to the sea, special attention was paid to models with a high IP weather protection rating.

The system’s installation amplifiers operate in a 100V line mode: AMC iA 360X, AMC iA 4X125, while control is provided by five-zone mixer preamplifiers/media players  AMC iMIX5.

In the VIP zones, individual WC iMIX controllers are installed in combination with AAMC Ibox, allowing guests to adjust the sound to their personal preferences.

Lighting solution

An equally important component was the professional lighting installation:

Thanks to these solutions, the restaurant received a bright stage and the ability to create flexible lighting scenarios for concerts and events.

Atmosphere and events

The opening of the restaurant became a landmark event in Odesa’s cultural life. The stage of Ikeda hosted the famous Ukrainian artist Tina Karol, giving guests an evening with an unforgettable atmosphere. In the near future, a concert by another legend of the Ukrainian stage, Iryna Bilyk, is planned.
